Smiling is so powerful. A single smile can be the most positive thing you can do in a day. It can potentially change your whole day or that of another person. When you smile you instantly feel better and when you smile at others it usually has the same effect. 

Because I am happy I smile a lot, and because of that I invest time and money into my teeth and make sure I am practising good oral hygiene. Feeling confident when you smile will make that smile even more beautiful which is why taking good care of your teeth is important and should not be overlooked. Seeing people smiling behind hands due to not feeling very confident when they smile makes me feel a little sad. I used to be this person. I lacked confidence and didn't like smiling openly, which is why I wanted to share some simple tips on how to improve the health of your teeth without paying out lots of money on expensive whitening treatments.

One of the best things that I have brought into my everyday brushing routine is the use of Sensodoyne Pronamel products.* Enamel is the white, mineral rich protective outer layer of our teeth that protects the dentine underneath. If your enamel is healthy then it gives you a strong white smile.  However, over time acidic foods and drinks can erode the enamel and expose the yellow and dull dentine underneath. If your teeth appear yellow or dull, then it could be a sign of weakened or acid softened enamel.

Acid erosion is caused by frequent eating and drinking acidic food and drink, such as fruit juice, fizzy drinks and even salad dressings.  If your diet is healthy then don’t change it. As long as your enamel is protected every day, then there's no reason why you can't enjoy acidic foods and drinks as part of a healthy diet, as well as healthy strong enamel. Since I have been brushing with the Sensodyne toothbrush and toothpaste, followed by a generous whirl of the minty mouthwash twice a day, I have really noticed an improvement, and my teeth feel so clean and shiny after brushing.

We all deserve to be happy, and we all deserve to feel confident enough to show it. So smile big, and smile often!
