Steam has great health benefits

Getting hot and steamy has never been so great for your health and well-being. You may even want to consider investing in your own home steam treatment like the Insignia Shower Cabins or a steam bath. With many on the market including mood enhancing lighting, body massage jets, radios, hands free telephones and much more, not only are they stylish for the bathroom but they also offer many health benefits.

If you suffer with chronic pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, or muscular problems, then try adding salts into your next bath. Salt reduces swelling in cells by dehydrating them and inhibits the inflammatory-causing pain. Magnesium salt, Himalayan salt and Epsom bath salts are just a few of many salts which can really help to reduce the amount of pain you get in your joints. The discovery, made by scientists in 2012, shows that a saltwater bath takes a lot of agony out of inflammation-based pain conditions.

Baths can help you stay calm and are great for good mental well-being.
If you are having a bad day or feel stressed, anxious or low, often a bath is one of the best ways to help you to relax and de-stress. A University of Wolverhampton study found that a daily bath, usually at the end of the day, can significantly improve your mood. Obviously settling into warm water feels good, but that pleasure happens to have staying power. Bathing can diminish feelings of depression and pessimism because "Baths give you...a wonderful combination of isolation, quiet, and comfort."  Baths are extremely peaceful and there are not many distractions helping you to really be able to focus on your breathing and your body.
